CIT Lab Door Codes

IMPORTANT NEWS:   All existing CIT Lab door codes were reset on Tuesday, January 22, 2008. See CIT Lab Door Code Renewal for more information.

The door to the CIT Lab is always locked. To access the Lab, one needs an access code. Faculty who are developing multimedia content for UCSF instructional purposes, and who need continuing access to the CIT Lab, can obtain a CIT Lab door code. Faculty who only want to use the Lab on a one-time basis are welcome to contact CIT Staff and make an appointment.

For more information, contact CIT Staff at 415-502-6678.

Important Note regarding Lab Access for Staff/Students:

UCSF staff and students working with/for faculty sponsors on UCSF instructional purposes can also obtain a CIT Lab door code. The procedure is:
  1. The faculty sponsor first needs to contact the Manager, CIT Lab, to briefly discuss the kinds of work the staff/student will need to do in the Lab. Please remember -- access to the CIT Lab is available to those working on UCSF instructional purposes. The Manager, CIT Lab, must first approve any other kinds of work. Contact the Manager, CIT Lab for more information, or call 415-502-6678.

  2. Once it has been determined that the staff/student needs a CIT Lab door code, a completed CIT Lab Access for UCSF Staff & Students form needs to be submitted. Upon approval by the Manager, CIT Lab, the form will be provided. This short form must be signed by the faculty sponsor. The staff/student can then bring the completed form to the CIT Lab when they come to obtain the code (which must be done in-person).

CIT Lab door codes can be obtained during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm -- excluding campus holidays). We advise that you call or email ahead before coming to the CIT Lab to make sure someone is here to issue you a new door code. Contact CIT Lab Manager for questions about the CIT Lab.
