CIT Lab: Web Development

The web is a powerful medium for delivering all kinds of content, including instructional content. Two workstations -- a Mac and a PC -- have been set up primarily as web development workstations. The latest web site development tools, including Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe GoLive, and Microsoft FrontPage are available. We also have image processing tools that help slice up and animate web graphics -- Macromedia Fireworks and Adobe ImageReady. Tools for authoring exciting web interfaces, tutorials and animations -- Macromedia Flash and Director Shockwave Studio, and Adobe LiveMotion -- can also be found on these workstations. The CIT Lab's web development workstations are ideal places to develop content for WebCT courses.

The best HTML editors for their respective platforms are available on all CIT workstations: Dreamweaver MX/Fireworks MX and BBEdit are available on all CIT Lab Macs, while Dreamweaver MX/Fireworks MX and HomeSite is available on all CIT Lab PCs. Also, Photoshop and Illustrator are available on all CIT workstations.
