Medical Vietnamese: Communicating with the Vietnamese Patient
Description: This podcast is a Vietnamese language course with materials intended to help health care professionals nationwide improve their communication skills with Vietnamese patients, a growing minority population in the U.S.
There are audio and pdf files with vocabulary and dialogue lessons focused on obtaining a history and physical exam. This course was were originally created for the UCSF Medical Vietnamese Elective: Communicating with the Vietnamese Patient in 2006. The elective continues to be offered to health care students at UCSF.
