Getting into WebCT Courses
Getting into WebCT Courses There are two ways students can get added to WebCT courses: In some cases, it may be the students' responsibility to add themselves to some of their courses. Your instructor will let you know if this is true for any given course. Any students who add themselves to courses they are not actually enrolled in or do not have permission to add will be deleted from these courses. Only self-register for courses that you have been instructed to add. Adding yourself to a course is simple. Here are the steps:
In many cases, students do not need to worry about how they are added to WebCT courses -- this will be done for them by their course instructors or by Center for Instructional Technology staff. All students need to do is access WebCT -- they should see their courses listed on their myWebCT page. If expected courses are not listed, contact the instructor or the CIT. Note: Getting youself added to WebCT courses is a completely separate process from actually registering for courses with the Registrar. Just because you are officially registered for a course does not mean that you have also been added to that course's WebCT component (assuming one exists -- not all courses have WebCT components). If you are registered for a course and think you should also have been added to its WebCT component but have not been added (and the course does not accept self-registration), you will need to see the course instructor. CIT staff will not add students to WebCT courses without the instructor's permission. |
