Adding One Student

The designer of a course can add students one at a time to a WebCT course. In order to add a student to your WebCT course you need to know the student's GALEN Login Name.

There are three simple steps to add a student to a WebCT course:
  1. Navigate to WebCT's Manage Students link
    Log into WebCT and enter the course in which you want to enable self registration. In the Control Panel click on the Manage Course link.

  2. Navigate to Add or Import Students
    Choose Change Settings In the Manage Course page that comes up, under the Manage Students section, click on the link labeled Add or Import Students.

    Choose Change Settings An alternate path is from the Manage Students page, under the left drop-down menu choose Add/Import students and then click the adjacent Go button.


  3. Enter the GALEN Login Name & click Add

    Enter the GALEN Login NameAt the top of the Add Students window is a section labelled Add one student at a time to your course, and below it is a text entry box labelled Student's WebCT ID. Enter the GALEN Login Name of the student that you want to enroll, and then click the adjacent Add button.



    The Manage Students pageAfter you click the Add button, you will be taken to the Manage Students page. The student you added should appear in the list (although you may need to scroll or page through if your course already contains many students).
